Meet our Donkeys

Raising Friendly, Well-Socialized Miniature Donkeys 🫏❤️

At Little Oxen Farm, we believe raising a miniature donkey is about so much more than providing good food, beautiful pastures, and excellent care. We want each donkey we raise to be friendly, confident, and comfortable around people so they can transition happily into their future family.

That’s why socialization is such an important part of life here on our farm. From a young age, our donkeys are handled gently and regularly. They learn that people are their friends, that being touched and groomed is a positive experience, and that new experiences don’t have to be scary.

We spend time talking to them, scratching their favorite spots, grooming them, leading them, and simply being present with them. ❤️ These everyday interactions help build trust and teach them to enjoy human companionship.

Our goal is for the families who welcome one of our miniature donkeys into their homes to receive not only a healthy, well-cared-for donkey, but one who has already begun building the confidence and trust that will make the transition to a new family so much easier.
