I'm Melissa, and I'm so glad you're here.
My love for equines began in the beautiful hills of Vermont, where I grew up showing Morgan horses. Even as a little girl, I dreamed that one day I'd have a farm filled with miniature donkeys. Years later, that dream became a reality.
Today, my husband and I are blessed to raise our eight children on Little Oxen Farm in Wolcott, New York. Our family spends each day caring for livestock, homeschooling, and teaching our children the importance of hard work, stewardship, and caring well for God's creation.
Our donkeys are more than livestock—they're part of our daily life. They are handled regularly by both adults and children, receive plenty of individual attention, and are raised in a calm, family-centered environment. We believe this daily interaction helps them grow into friendly, trusting companions that bring joy wherever they go.
